It is a good product but it takes awhile to heat ?Heat tool works for heat embossing, but it does take a little while to heat up before it's ready. If you start heating the embossing powder before it's ready, it will start wrinkling the paper because it's not hot enough to quickly melt the powder. But the difference compared to other heat tools I've used is a matter of about 10-15 seconds longer that this tool takes to heat to a proper level. This heats up fast and is a well made unit. I did not give it a five star rating as the air flow is a little too much and it removes some of the embossing powder from the artwork. I am new to the process, however, so it may work better for those that know what they are doing. We do soy candles, and needed a heat gun to smooth out some pourings. I read the reviews, and this seemed like a good tool for the price. It's a bit better than good. It appears to be very heavy-duty, with a large cord. It performs perfectly every time we use it. We also use it to clean old wax out of glass containers. It does the job quickly and efficiently and saves a lot of time. I also do some electronics, and this should work well for heat-shrink tubing and the like.I bought this for my little craft business and this heat tool works very well. It doesn't take long at all to get it to heat up - I'd say about 15 seconds. Some reviewers thought a minute or more but not in my experience. I used to use a hairdryer to but this little unit works so much better and the cost was reasonable. This was my first time embossing and the heat tool worked really well. The other reviews made me aware that it produces a bit of smoke and an odor for the first few minutes of its first use, but after that, all was good. The size of the opening was good and the amount of heat produced worked perfectly for the embossing stamp/powder I used. Great product!Bought this for embossing and it barely heated up enough to do the job, even after letting it heat up for a few mins before using it. Don't buy for things you'd use a regular heat gun for.I bought this awhile ago and just actually tried it today while making my Christmas Cards. Very neat little tool. It turns the embossing powder metallic looking and your projects turn out great. Just remember to move the gun around for even heat and not too close so your project doesn't burn...the gun does get very hot. I would buy it again.Great little heat tool for a great price. This is my first heat tool and so far I am quite happy with it. I have purchased a number of Martha Stewart crafting tools and I am never disappointed by the quality and usefulness. They are always made from top notch materials and well designed.Tenía una pistola de aire para hacer el embossing pero se quemo :( encontré este modelo a un buen precio, y funciona muy bien.Works great, my embossed items and finished quickly, a little noisy but i have never used another embossing tool to compare toI like it but I am not sure why some of the powder doesn't get melted. Maybe I don't put it close enough or I got to wait for it to be hotter before using. Overall I like the size and it looks pretty. It is quite loud though.
